Rope Tow- Cabin 10

Flashback: Rope tow was added by Lou and Had to accommodate the skiers coming to Aspen. It was named for the old Rope Tow ski lift built by the pond and travleing up towards the red cliffs. The bull wheel cabin still sits at the top of the "ski hill". Many young Aspen skiers would come and train for slalom racing after school and the famous Stein Erikson would bring his ski school from Highlands to the Ranch after the lifts would shut for the day. many of the skiing children soon competed in the Olympics, with names such as Billy marolt, Billy the Kid, and Jimmy Huega. The TLazy7 Ranch was featured in the Skiing Magazine as a guest ranch with downhill skiing in the 1958. Unfortunately, due to insurance reasons, the lift had to be discontinued.
